Result
Enter the annual entitlement, join date and as-of date to see the balance.
Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing you type is sent or stored.
How it works
Set the entitlement
Enter the annual days and how they accrue: monthly, per pay period or as one yearly grant.
Add the dates
Use the join date and an as-of date. Accrual is counted in the calendar year of the as-of date.
Choose pro-rata and carry-forward
Pro-rata counts part-served periods by days. Brought-forward days above your cap are dropped.
Read the balance
Balance = carried in + accrued − used. The explanation under the result shows each step.
This is an estimate for planning. Rates, caps and rules differ by country, contract and company policy, so enter your own values and check the result against your policy and local rules.
Frequently asked questions
- How is leave accrued each month calculated?
- Annual entitlement divided by 12, multiplied by the months served. With pro-rata on, the month in progress counts by days served.
- What does pro-rata do?
- It counts a part-served period (a mid-month start, or today’s month) by the share of days served. Off, only whole periods that have ended count.
- How does a carry-forward cap work?
- Unused days from last year carry in only up to the cap; anything above it is lost. Leave the cap empty for no limit.
- Does it use my country’s leave law?
- No. Every figure is one you enter, so the result follows your policy. Check it against local rules and your contract.
